Redland City Council’s First Fully Off-Grid Amenity Block: A Milestone Project

Gossi is thrilled to share our involvement in an exciting project with Redland City Council, completed in collaboration with The Landscape Construction Company. This marks a significant milestone as it features our very first fully off-grid amenity block—the AMT102-S—bringing innovation and sustainability to public facilities in the region.

Innovation in Sustainable Design

The AMT102-S amenity block is a cutting-edge, solar-powered solution designed to simplify installation, reduce costs, and support sustainable practices. Powered entirely by solar energy, the system eliminates the need for underground electrical cabling, offering an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Solar-Powered Operation: Completely off-grid, reducing environmental impact and operational costs.
  • Auto-Locking Doors: Programmable for seamless, scheduled operation, including integration with exterior lighting controls.
  • Real-Time Battery Monitoring: Provides live tracking or detailed reports for optimal performance management.
  • Cost Savings: Lower installation costs by removing the need for electrical cabling and eliminating ongoing power fees.
  • Carbon Neutrality: Aligns with environmental goals, delivering a sustainable solution for public amenities.

A Timeless Aesthetic with Practicality

This project stands out not only for its functionality but also for its sleek and timeless design. The structure and posts are powder-coated in Windspray, complemented by Shale Grey cladding. Adding an elegant touch, a front privacy screen featuring a water bird motif enhances the overall aesthetic, blending seamlessly into the surrounding landscape.

Efficient Project Execution

From the moment the purchase order was received, the project was completed in just 68 working days, covering every aspect from design and engineering to manufacturing and delivery. The process unfolded smoothly and efficiently, demonstrating Gossi's commitment to high-quality execution and customer satisfaction.

A Win for the Community

This innovative amenity block is a testament to the value of collaboration and sustainable practices. With its fully solar-powered design and user-friendly features, the AMT102-S will serve the Redland City Council community as a practical and environmentally friendly solution for years to come.

We are proud to have partnered on this forward-thinking project, setting a new benchmark for off-grid amenities and demonstrating our dedication to supporting sustainable infrastructure.
