G.James Lismore, in collaboration with AW Edwards, proudly completed the Hastings PCYC Sports Stadium (Port Macquarie) in 2024. This project demonstrates our commitment to quality, innovation, and the strength of teamwork across our network of branches. The Hastings Sports Stadium, which has become a vibrant community hub, features a variety of G.James products designed to meet both the functional and aesthetic requirements of the build.
This stadium showcases an impressive selection of G.James products, each contributing to the centre's overall appeal and functionality. From expansive glazed areas that fill the interior space with natural light, through to practical doors and ventilation solutions, our products have transformed this facility into a welcoming environment.

Project Highlights
A standout feature of our scope was the installation of two impressive 7.5-meter circular windows at either end of the indoor courts. These windows are complemented by a custom, circular sunshade assembly that cantilevers 600mm from the window surface. Although we faced initial challenges regarding the feasibility of installing these sunshades, the G.James engineering team successfully developed a practical installation method. While the sunshades certainly enhance the building's overall aesthetic, their primary function of managing heat and glare should not be understated.

The Hastings Sport Stadium represents a collaborative achievement across multiple G.James locations. Our Facade Solutions division in Brisbane fabricated the impressive 850 Series entry units and circular windows, while our curtain wall production facility supplied the custom sunshades. Our dedicated drafting and engineering teams meticulously guided the project through the critical design stages, ensuring that every detail was covered.
