Curved Glazing That Reflects the Coastline
A defining feature of Luna is its floor-to-ceiling curved panels, which were designed to soften the building’s profile and reflect the coastal surroundings. This concept creates a sense of flow between the structure and its environment. The panels were engineered to withstand the high coastal wind loads the building will be exposed to, while maintaining a consistent visual alignment with the adjacent ‘straight’ panes.
Luna shares design similarities with Five on Florence, another nearby residential project designed by Plus Architecture. Drawing on our experience with similar curved forms, the G.James team worked closely with the builder to refine both the detailing and installation methods. Early coordination allowed us to deliver a package that met the project's architectural intentions while navigating site-specific constraints.
Project Scope and Delivery
The scope included a full range of aluminium glazing systems, integrated into each residence and the shared amenity level. Products supplied and installed by G.James included:
- Curved facade glazing in low-iron laminated glass
- Sliding door systems throughout internal and external openings
- Hinged entry doors for apartment access
- Full height operable and fixed windows to capture the expansive coastal views
- Balustrades with matching finishes and fixings
Installation was completed in line with the construction program, with close collaboration between all associated trades to achieve the clean, contemporary finish expected of such a high-calibre beachfront development.

Luna demonstrates the value of considered detailing and early coordination in delivering complex glazing outcomes. With curved glass playing a central role in the building’s identity, the glazing package contributes both functionally and visually. The result is a modern coastal residence with clarity, openness, and refined execution throughout.
